BRITAIN’S TOP THEMEPARKS IF..

01 Jun 2017

BRITAIN’S TOP THEMEPARKS IF.. you have little ones; LEGOLAND  For children that love Lego (don’t they all?!), the magic really comes alive here, with Lego characters wandering around, hands on activities with a model making studio and discovery zone, amazing mini model scenes from all over the world and a Lego 4D movie theatre. All the rides and attractions are close together, with plenty of tasty eateries to act as pit stops, so those little legs don’t get tired before discovering all that LEGOLAND has to offer. Even if the kids aren’t Lego’s biggest fanatics, there are heaps of tame rides, including a fairy tale boat trip, a mini dragon roller coaster and the largest water play structure in the UK. All rides are suitable for young children (and the nervous adults amongst us) and with a sweet shop and an ice cream parlour on site, it’s pretty hard not to have a great day out!   you love animals; Chessington World of Adventures Pirates Cove, Land of The Dragons, rollercoasters, runaway trains and a house of adventure, seems enough for a day out right? Amazingly, it’s more than just a theme park; every ticket to Chessington not only includes entry to the Theme Park, but also to Chessington Zoo and their sea life centre! Walk underneath sea creatures as you stroll through the ocean tunnel, spot Nemo and his other clownfish friends, point out sharks and jellyfish and learn about the starfish with 40 arms. With over 1000 exotic animals at the zoo, a ‘Zufari’, transporting you beautiful animals roaming free and a treetop adventure park where you can play amongst monkeys, this zoo really makes for a pretty wild day out.. Also check out Flamingo Land, an adventure park which also houses the UK’s most visited zoo!   you’re a thrill seeker; Alton Towers Bursting with exhilarating white knuckle rides, Alton Towers makes it an ideal theme park for the daring! With the world’s first 14 loop rollercoaster, a vertical freefall drop rollercoaster that instils not just physical, but psychological fear and a rollercoaster that jets your from 0 to 100km/hr in just over 2 seconds, these rides are definitely not for the faint hearted. However, Alton Towers has pretty much everything you’d want in a theme park, there is too much to see in one day alone. There is a CBeeBies Land, designed for children with heaps of interactive and imaginative play and plenty of tame rides. There are beautiful gardens for picnics amidst the attractions. There are water rides, sky rides, wandering characters and a haunted hollow and if that wasn’t enough, they also have their own waterpark; high rope courses; golf courses and a spa! See what we mean when we say there is too much to do in just one day! Also check out Megafobia, the rollercoaster in Oakwood Theme Park, in Wales. It was once voted the best ride in the UK and third best ride in the world by the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain.   you’re with the whole family; Thorpe Park An abundance of high rides, fast rides, kids rides, scary rides, family rides, water rides, mazes, dodgems, swings – there truly is something to suit everyone. There are also loads of restaurants covering a multitude of different cuisines, from BBQ food to Mexican, American fast food to traditional English meals, the eateries cater for all palates and with snack shacks dotted around, no one in the family will be left unfed! Thorpe park is ideal for group rides, thrill seekers, water lovers (with 5 water rides), rollercoaster fanatics (with 5 of the UK’s top rollercoasters) and Angry Birds fans (with the world’s first Angry Birds land!), making the whole experience just perfect for the whole family.   it’s about more than just the rides; Blackpool Pleasure Beach  Who doesn’t like to be beside the seaside? With over 100 rides and attractions over 42 acres at the end of Blackpool’s promenade, famous shows, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum, an ice skating arena and an adventure golf course, this is the perfect place to suit everyone. Ride the UK’s tallest rollercoaster at 235ft high, spin around in a Red Arrow cockpit on the Red Arrows Skyforce ride and reach G forces of up to 4.5g on the Ice Blast. This amusement park has more than just the Go Karts, Carousels and Ghost Trains; there are hypnotist shows, restaurants, bars, magic shows, arcades, shops, ice shows – it’s a great place while away a weekend.   you’re in Scotland; M&Ds Located in the beautiful Strathclyde Country Park sits one of Scotland’s most popular theme park. Fly 30 metres above the ground in two man gondolas on The Giant Condor. Zoom up to 80kmh on the thrilling tornado, climb on board one of your favourite toys or ride the dodgems or plunge down a mini ravine on the White Water ride. With glow in the dark indoor bowling, a soft play area, an amusement arcade multitude of amusements, adventure golf and an amazing indoor tropical rainforest, complete with birds, reptiles and creepy crawlies, Scotland’s Theme Park is a totally unique day out.
