All our luxury gift hampers include UK delivery in their pricing, meaning you don’t pay extra for UK hamper delivery unless you choose UK next working day delivery or UK weekend delivery. Occasionally there may be a surcharge for UK Highlands & Islands delivery if you’re sending a food hamper to an outlying area.

Many of our luxury food hampers are also available for international gift delivery. To find out the hamper price, simply select the delivery country after you’ve chosen the hamper. This will update the food hamper price to include tracked, express gift hamper delivery to that country as well as any customs fees.

For example, if you’re looking for a luxury food hamper to USA, a gift hamper to Canada or a gift hamper to Australia, just click the relevant country on the hamper delivery country list. The gift hamper price will update to show one all-inclusive price for the food hamper and the delivery cost. It will also show you the earliest available gift hamper delivery date to that country.

No, you cannot send alcohol abroad.

This is due to customs restrictions preventing efficient delivery if gift hampers contain alcohol.

At The British Hamper Company it’s our mission to provide both our customers and recipients with exceptional food gifting experiences, which means hamper delivery efficiency and reliability is an essential value of ours.

Because of this, we only send hampers abroad if they don’t contain alcohol. This way, we can give you the option to choose your preferred ‘delivered by’ date and ensure your luxury gift hamper arrives in time.

We also cover customs fees and taxes so that neither you or your recipient receives an unexpected additional cost. Aside from a high risk of delivery delay if you send an alcohol hamper abroad, there’s also a high chance of additional customs fees to pay.

Our luxury gift hampers have a shelf life of a minimum of 28 days from the chosen delivery date if they are ambient hampers.
 

Ambient luxury gift hampers are those that do not contain fresh food such as cured meat, smoked salmon or cheese.

For our fresh luxury food hampers, such as British cheese hampers or fresh picnic hampers, the shelf life is a minimum of 4 days. The luxury food hamper will be delivered to the door with ice packs for the fresh produce, though it’s recommended you make sure your loved one is at home to open the luxury gift basket on the day of delivery.  

As we offer the option to choose your preferred hamper delivery date, you can still place your hamper order now even if the gifting occasion date exceeds the minimum shelf life. This is because we will receive your hamper order immediately, but we will not dispatch the food hamper until your chosen delivery date approaches.

So there’s no need to worry that if you order now, your food hamper may pass its best before date before the occasion – this will not happen.

On every luxury food hamper there is a small hang tag showing the best before date of the shortest dates product in the food hamper. The rest of the produce in the gift hamper will have longer best before date which will be clearly labelled on each product.

Each of the luxury gifts comes neatly presented in either a traditional wicker basket or our luxury gift boxes.

Both our traditional wicker baskets and lidded hamper boxes are of exceptional quality. They’re robust and suitable for UK and international hamper delivery and also reusable. Many of our recipients keep their empty hamper baskets as keepsakes in their home after they’ve enjoyed the produce.

Every artisan food hamper is delivered with your gift message, whether you choose a luxury wicker basket, a lidded hamper box or a gift box. We neatly print your personal message onto a folded gift card and place it on top of the food hamper so that it’s the first thing your recipient sees.

If you choose one of our lidded gift hamper boxes, it will be finished with a hand-tied ribbon. If you choose a traditional wicker basket, the lid will be secured with high quality straps.

Inside every artisan food hamper, the Great Taste Award-winning contents are secured in place with our recyclable, vanilla coloured hamper shred. This assures both beautiful presentation and the security of the produce throughout hamper delivery.

Each luxury food hamper is then placed into a protective cardboard shipping box, before being sent out to your recipient.
