Ordering
It is quick and easy to place an order online via our secure online checkout, alternatively please call our friendly customer service team on +44 (0)1522 581 581, who will be happy to take your order over the phone.

Once you have placed your order you will receive an order confirmation email from us which will show you which hamper you have bought, the delivery address details you have requested, the 'delivered by' date and your gift card message.
Our packing team will carefully prepare your hamper and gift card and will then arrange dispatch.
Once your hamper has been picked up by our courier you will receive an email from our courier providing you with tracking details.
Please remember to check your SPAM or junk email folder in case our email ends up there.
Once your hamper has been picked up you will receive an email from our courier confirming the dispatch and providing you with a link to track your hamper. Please check your Spam or Junk email folder in case the tracking email has landed there.
You can add as many gifts as you like to one order. If you are looking at sending more than 15 gifts we recommend you get in touch with us so that we can set you up on our easy to use bulk order system to speed up the ordering process.

Yes absolutely, all our gifts are delivered with a lovely gift card which will contain your printed personalised message.

We don’t offer meat-only hampers, however we do offer hampers with meat!
We’re proud to work with an exceptional artisan called Bray Cured, that creates top-quality, bold flavoured meats for our gift hampers.
Bray Cured is an award-winning British charcuterie based in Berkshire that hand crafts it’s cured products using outstanding British rare breed meat with a mixture of new techniques and twists on traditional techniques.
If you’re looking for a hamper with meat for a meat-lover, we recommend making your own hamper and choosing Bray Cured produce, or considering The Picnic Celebration Hamper or The Deli Box.
Ordering for Christmas
You can order now and select a December 'delivered by' date when you add in your delivery address details in checkout.
Once you have placed your order you will receive an order confirmation email. Please check your SPAM folder and add British Hamper to your 'safe sender list' if you haven't received this shortly after ordering.
It is worthwhile double checking the details on the order email to ensure your delivery address, gift card message and delivery date are correct. Our friendly customer experience team are on hand to help make amendments to your order if required.
We will arrange dispatch of your hamper so that it arrives on or just before your requested 'delivered by' date.
When we dispatch your hamper you will receive an email from our courier DHL Express which will include tracking details so you can monitor the progress of the hamper.
Should you have any queries regarding delivery our friendly customer experience team are on hand to help between 9am - 5pm (GMT) Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Yes!
For ambient hampers that don't contain chilled produce the best before date will be shown at the bottom of the hamper description. Click here for an example on our Premium Traditional Hamper.
All our ambient hampers will have best before dates suitable for the festive period and can be ordered for delivery now or by a date of your choice.
For cheese hampers we recommend selecting a delivery date from Tues 16th December to ensure the cheese remains fresh for enjoying over Christmas.
Delivery
You will receive an email from our courier which will provide you with tracking details once your hamper has been dispatched.

We include courier delivery to your destination of choice in all of our hampers. To view the cost of a gift including delivery simply select your delivery country choice in the drop down box next to the hamper.
For gift hampers UK delivered you can choose the specific day you would like the gift hampers delivered on.
Weekday UK delivery of gift hampers is included in the price and you can select weekend gift delivery for a small additional cost.
At the checkout you’ll have the option to choose your hamper delivery date using the calendar provided. When your gift hamper is dispatched, you’ll receive tracking information via our courier.
For internationally delivered food hampers we offer a delivered by date. We cannot offer a specific date as we allow a few extra days of delivery lead time in case of any minor delays such as adverse weather conditions.
So, when you choose your delivery date for your gift hamper for overseas delivery, bear in mind the gift hamper could arrive up to a few days before.
If the courier attempts delivery and nobody is at home to receive the parcel the courier will leave a calling card at the recipients address and you will also receive an email from DHL On Demand confirming they were unable to deliver.
You can rearrange delivery easily by using the DHL On Demand email sent to you. The recipient can also rearrange delivery by following the simple instructions provided on the calling card.

Ambient food hampers can be delivered overseas to non-EU countries, with around 40 gift hampers available.

The soonest we can deliver is next day to the UK mainland if ordered before our cut-off time. Please get in touch on Live Chat or +44 (0) 1522 581 581 to find out our current cut-off time.
The soonest we can deliver abroad is dependent on the country. We can deliver to some countries within 2 days whereas other countries can take up to 7. When you click on a hamper and select the delivery date, it’ll show you the soonest date to that country.
We do however offer all customers the option to choose a future delivery date for their food hamper.
For UK gift hamper delivery you can select the weekday you’d like delivery on. And for international hamper delivery you can choose the date you’d like the hamper delivered by.
The reason we offer ‘delivered by’ dates for international gift delivery is because lead times can vary given the longer journey the hamper has – for example if there’s adverse weather conditions.
Wherever your gift hamper is being delivered to, you’ll receive tracking via our courier when your hamper has been dispatched so that you can monitor progress and see the anticipated delivery date.
EU Ordering & Delivery
From November 2021 we're delighted to confirm we have resumed delivery to all EU countries!

Your recipient will not be charged customs fees or taxes if you are sending a hamper to a country within the European Union.
We will incur all necessary local sales taxes and delivery costs so there will be no additional charges for your recipient to pay.
As our hampers for EU delivery have already cleared customs your hamper will not experience delays through customs if you're sending to Germany or anywhere else in the EU.
Unfortunately, as our hampers for EU delivery are dispatched from our Netherlands facility, we’re unable to add or remove items from the hampers.
This is because our Netherlands facility simply stores our range hampers (that we’ve packed at our HQ in the UK), and dispatches them. They don’t hold additional individual items and therefore they can’t make changes to hampers.
Rest assured though that our hampers for EU delivery are designed to suit all ages, tastes and preferences. They’re a collection on our bestsellers and loved for all occasions – there’s something in there for everyone!

Our ‘Make Your Own Hamper’ service is a great option if you know your recipient’s likes and dislikes (and it’s great fun making your own hamper!).
However we’re unfortunately unable to offer this service for hampers delivered to the EU. Our ‘Make Your Own Hamper’ service is available for UK delivered hampers and non-EU internationally delivered hampers (such as hampers to USA or hampers to Australia).
The reason we can’t offer our ‘Make Your Own Hamper’ service for EU delivery is because all our EU hampers a dispatched from our Netherlands facility and this facility does not have the ability to create customs hampers. All EU hampers must be chosen from our pre-made EU range.

We unfortunately can’t offer corporate branding on gift hampers to the EU. This is because our EU hampers are dispatched from our Netherlands hub which does not have the ability to add branding.

Unfortunately we’re unable to send alcohol gifts abroad. At The British Hamper Company we specialise in international gift delivery by ensuring we provide an efficient, reliable service.
Including alcohol in gift hampers can cause delay at customs and increases the risk of failed delivery and additional taxes.
Because we prioritise customer experience, we only send gift hampers that we know are safe for international gift delivery and will be delivered without hassle, delay or extra fees.
Our hampers for delivery overseas contain ambient food, non-alcoholic drinks such as tea and coffee and they do not contain alcohol.
If you specifically require alcohol delivered overseas, we strongly recommend sourcing a gift locally in the country you’re sending to in order to avoid issues with customs and delivery.
Yes. After Brexit, we opened a hub in the Netherlands which allows us to efficiently resume corporate hamper delivery into the EU again.
Our corporate hampers are UK made at our HQ in Lincolnshire and are sent via our Netherlands hub for onward international gift delivery.
Our EU gift delivery varies between 2 to 5 days and all corporate gift baskets are sent via our trusted courier, DHL.
All corporate hampers EU delivered are sent on an Express Tracked Service so that you can monitor delivery as well as us.
We also pre-pay all customs taxes and fees so that you nor your recipients will receive an unexpected bill.

Corporate hampers are taxed on their contents – some of which may be standard rated and some zero rated. This means that the hampers are mixed rated.

We’re constantly improving our corporate sustainability to make sure our corporate hampers are environmentally friendly, sustainable gifts.
We have now removed all bubble wrap from our hampers which has saved 40,000m2 of plastic a year! The glass jars and bottles inside our corporate hampers are wrapped in a high quality, recyclable cardboard sleeve which is visually appealing, protective, and sustainable.
Our traditional wicker hampers and British box hampers are recyclable. Aside from the fact they’re recyclable hampers, they’re also reusable hampers and we get a huge amount of feedback from customers and recipients letting us know what they’re now using their empty gift hampers for!
The vanilla paper shred within the hampers is also recycle and we make sure to design our export hampers to make the most of volumetric capacity.
We also partner with DHL International who have pledged to invest EUR 7 billion by 2030 in clean operations to reduce their emissions by 4 million tonnes.
Our food hampers are mixed rate VAT rather than zero or standard rated.
Each hamper has a different VAT level based on the contents within each food hamper. Some produce within our corporate hampers are zero rated, other items are standard 20% rated.
The standard prices on our website include VAT and UK delivery. To see a hamper without VAT (but still including UK delivery), use the toggle at the top right of the screen to switch to “Prices: Ex. VAT”.
Please note that gift hampers delivered internationally do not include VAT. They do however include customs fees and taxes. To view the price of a gift hamper delivered abroad please change the delivery country after you’ve clicked on a hamper. When you change the delivery country, you’ll notice the price updates to include customs fees and delivery to that country (but no VAT included).

If there are any fees or taxes we are pleased to pay these so your recipient doesn't have to. Depending on the value of the gift and the destination there may be customs fees and taxes payable when the gift is imported, however these will be charged to us and your recipient will not be responsible for making payment.
