Yes if you’re sending a food hamper UK wide, we offer the option to choose your hamper delivery date.

Once you add your luxury food and drink hamper to the basket, you’ll be able to choose a hamper delivery date in the checkout area.

Please note that whilst we aim to deliver your gift hamper on your chosen date, there’s a chance it may arrive up to a couple of days before.

When your food hamper is dispatched, you’ll receive tracking information by our courier which will provide an expected delivery date. If this date is not ok – for example if you explicitly need it delivered on the date you selected, you can alter the date via your tracking link. Alternatively, you’re welcome to get in touch with us either before or after purchase and we’ll ensure it’s only delivered on that day.

If you’re sending a food and drink hamper abroad, we offer a ‘delivered by’ date. This means your food hamper may arrive up to a few days before. The reason we offer a ‘delivered by’ date for international gift hampers is because they have further to travel so we give ourselves extra leadtime for delivery in case of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather.

Again when your luxury food basket is dispatched you will receive tracking information which will allow you to make delivery date changes if necessary.

Yes, we have plenty of artisan food hampers for international gift delivery. We deliver to over 50 countries worldwide including international delivery to countries in Europe, USA and as far as New Zealand.

Not all our luxury food hampers can be sent abroad. Gifts with alcohol or fresh produce are only suitable for UK hamper delivery.

Alcohol hampers cannot be sent abroad because of customs restrictions in hamper delivery countries. When sending alcohol in a hamper there is a high risk of delivery delay and additional customs fees – or the gift hamper may not be granted entry at all.

As we prioritise exception customer and recipient gifting experience at The British Hamper Company, we will only send British food hampers that we know are accepted into each delivery country.

Fresh food cannot be sent abroad because of the requirement to remain chilled for a short period of time in transit. To avoid any risks, we choose not to send fresh food abroad – for example our British cheese hampers or fresh picnic hampers.

Our ambient food hampers however are available for international gift delivery. These include our afternoon tea hampers and traditional food hampers. They contain Great Taste Award-winning British artisan produce that does not need to be refrigerated nor does it contain alcohol.

We send all of our hampers abroad on a delivery duties paid (DDP) basis. In other words we cover the customs fees and taxes so neither you nor your recipient faces any unexpected customs fees.
 

All our British food hampers for international gift delivery are sent via a reputable courier on a tracked, express service.

At present we are not shipping alcohol internationally due to customs regulations.

As experts in international hamper delivery we prioritise efficiency and reliability and we give our customers the option to choose their preferred international ‘delivered by’ date.

As there is significant risk of delays, additional fees and failed delivery when sending alcohol abroad from the UK, we choose not to include alcohol in our hampers to send abroad.

Instead, we offer our alcohol free hampers for international gift delivery. Our alcohol free hampers include Great Taste award-winning produce such as our three-star winning Zesty Lemon Curd and our no-nonsense hand-cooked sea salt crisps. They also include soft drinks such as our British Breakfast Tea and Artisan Ground Coffee.

If you’re specially looking for alcohol to send abroad, we strongly recommend sourcing alcohol in the delivery country rather than attempting to ship it from the UK.

Yes all hampers to send abroad include customs duties, fees and taxes within the price you pay at checkout.
